PTR - Replaceable Gas Discharge Tube
The PTR Series from NexTek provides reliable surge protection using a single-stage gas discharge tube (GDT) housed in a field-replaceable cartridge. Designed to deliver long-term value and serviceability, PTR arrestors maintain wideband performance across DC to 3.2 GHz and are ideal for systems that require consistent protection with minimal downtime.
Unlike fixed GDT designs, the PTR Series features a replaceable gas tube element, allowing for quick field service without disconnecting or replacing the entire unit. This design enables extended product life, lower maintenance costs, and faster restoration after repeated surge events.
Each PTR unit passes DC current and supports high-power RF signals. Operating voltage is defined by the replaceable GDT module, which can be selected for specific system requirements. With broad connector availability — N-Type, TNC, SMA, BNC, UHF, and 7/16 DIN — the PTR product family is suited for a wide variety of radio, antenna, and infrastructure installations.
