PTI - DC Blocking + GDT arrestor
The PTI Series from NexTek combines a precision high-pass capacitor and a gas discharge tube (GDT) into a compact, two-stage arrestor optimized for RF-only signal paths. This integrated design delivers robust transient protection while completely blocking DC energy, eliminating the need to match external I/O capacitors to protect connected equipment.
Where conventional GDT arrestors require careful coordination with radio front ends and onboard capacitor values, PTI arrestors simplify system design by providing built-in DC blocking. This makes the PTI Series ideal for RF installations where only RF energy is desired at the protected port — such as in radio receivers, test equipment, or transmit-only antennas with sensitive front ends.
Model dependent products support from 1.5 MHz to 2000 MHz, PTI units maintain excellent RF characteristics across LMR, VHF, UHF, LTE and L-band applications, where each model is engineered to provide low insertion loss, reliable surge handling, and rugged, weather-sealed housing for indoor or outdoor use.
