Fast-response RF arrestors in the FPN Series are designed to protect radios, communication electronics, and mission-critical equipment from fast-acting transient threats such as ESD, HEMP, NEMP, HIRF, and IEMI. These electromagnetic disturbances act much faster than lightning, producing transient energy with much higher frequency content within the RF spectrum.

When the RF pass-band of a system overlaps with the frequency range of a transient event, protecting coaxial lines becomes a precision challenge — allowing low-loss RF transmission during normal operation while instantly rejecting transient energy during a high-speed surge event. The FPN Series achieves this through fine-protection design technology that delivers ultra-fast response times, low insertion loss, and repeatable protection performance without degrading signal integrity.
