The FPL series of fine protectors utilizes a multistage arrestor design, which combines multiple stages of protection to deliver an exceptional response and energy limitation. This design also maintains a high transient current rating to ensure a long operational lifetime.

For applications that require the passing of DC energy or where the RF passband is too low for a quarter-wavelength stub, the FPL series provides an ideal, all-encompassing solution.

FPL Fine Protector Lightning Applications

The FPL series shields sensitive RF communication systems, including GPS/GNSS antennas, satellite terminals, and cellular infrastructure, from the destructive effects of lightning, EMP, and ESD.

DC Blocking arrestors are an integral component for many of these systems. By permitting high-frequency signals to pass while obstructing DC flow, these arrestors prevent damage to sensitive components and reduce unwanted noise. In applications with tower-mounted electronics that do not require DC power, the DC block also isolates the protected equipment from shared low-frequency surge currents and shields it from ground-level electrical transients.
