Designed specifically for LTE, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX applications, the QWS600 series exceeds 802.11, UNII, ISM and MIL-STD-202 standards for usage between 2.2 GHz and 7.6 GHz. OEMs have begun installing the QWS600 series in wireless applications that operate within this frequency range. The QWS600 series is extremely compact, measuring only 63.9 mm (2.52”) long X 39.6 mm(1.55”). It features best-in-class performance specifications including bi-directional protection, low VSWR (1.05:1 typical) and Insertion Loss (0.15dB typical), high RF power, and ultra-low let-through energy ratings. Using robust materials such as Nickel-plated Brass, gold-plated Beryllium Copper pins, and Teflon insulators the maintenance free QWS600 series is ruggedized, weatherproof to IP68 standards, and can withstand multiple strikes as well as very high transients up to 60kApk. NexTek Launches New DC Block SurgeGuard™ TNC to SMA Lightning Arrestor

Providing antenna port transient voltage protection for smaller radio equipment has been made easier with the release of a new range of compact, multi-stage surge protectors. NexTek, Inc., an ISO9001:2008 certified designer and manufacturer of best-in-class surge protection and EMC / power conditioning products, announces a new family of coaxial lightning arrestors designed to operate at frequencies between 2MHz and 2GHz. The SurgeGuard™ PTI-TNF-SAF is a dc-blocked gas discharge tube-type lightning arrestor with TNC to SMA connectors. This PTI series surge suppressor provides two stage protection in the most compact package available. The first stage of protection is a Gas Discharge Tube to shunt high voltages to the grounded outer conductor/shield. The second stage is a series capacitor on the line, which significantly reduces the amount of energy that continues into the radio front end. This approach provides industry-leading performance by reducing residual or let-through energy to be reduced to about 1% of other compact technologies.

Westford, MA, November 2012 – NexTek announces the High RF Power K1-Series designed for protecting high power RF transmission lines of up to 50,000 Watts and the High Transient T1-Series has a transient rating to 100,000 Amps+. This new series of SurgeGuard™ lightning arrestors addresses the stringent demands of mission critical RF applications including the HF, VHF, and UHF frequency ranges from 0(dc) to 1000MHz. The SurgeGuard K1-Series and T1-Series is based on a multiple gas discharge tube design with serviceable replacement elements.

The PTR7AF7AFxxK1 and T1 arrestors measure 119mm x 45mm and have 7-16 female to 7-16 female connectors. The K1-Series product voltage ratings can range from 1.4kV to 3.5kV, and have a nominal impedance of 50 Ohms. This allows the K1 to pass up to 30kW or more of RF Power. The robust SurgeGuard T1-Series, available in multiple voltage ratings (90V to 1000V), provides a 250x multiple strike capability @ 10kA and a 100kA (8 x 20μs) one time surge capability.
